  1. Service Order assignment

    Need ability to enter field worker name in the "assigned to" field. The office workers do not do the work and they are all that are able to be filled in that field.

    Service Orders can already be assigned to any account deemed a 'Field Service Worker' or another UMS user with adequate permissions.  Please contact your Account Manager for Field Service Tech users, which are designed for this very reason and can even access the web based Mobile Service Order (MSO) platform from the field.

  2. Service order

    SERVICE ORDER - Previous (FINAL) customers name prints on service order. Needs to be blank in the name field unless a new customer has already been moved in before the service order is entered. We have instances where the service (water) is turned on for cleanup and then back off and no customer needs to be listed. We do not put landlords in each time someone moves out.

  4. Revenue class

    Locations need the ability to change between revenue classes without impacting prior or future customers at that location. If a house (Residential) is bought & turned into a restaurant (Commercial), the change to Commercial makes all customers who have been there Commercial.

    This request would require a major overhaul of how the software currently operates. Due to this fact, in addition to the number of votes, we are declining this request. As a workaround, we would suggest creating a new location with the different revenue class instead of changing the revenue class. That way the historical information would remain accurate. Another option is tracking by rate code versus Revenue Class. Rate codes are historically tracked on all financial and consumption records.

  5. 2023 - User Conference | Lead and Copper Tab

    With the New Lead and Copper Rules the EPA has put out, I think it would be beneficial to add a tab in the location panel. If we could have 3 columns with 3 rows for Year Location Installed, Material from Main to Meter, Material from Meter to Tap, Change Out Required, Lead Change Out Date, Image Attachment, Verification Method, Verified By, and Verification Date.

    If we could search/report on the year location installed, material from main to meter, material from meter to tap and change out required would be great. The year location installed would be great overall, just…

  6. SMS Option For Contacts

    Allow contacts to have an SMS option without signing up for the CWP. This way if an owner, emergency, etc. contact wants to be notified of a statement, high usage, etc. SMS, this would be an option available for them.

  7. Credit Card Processing Fees

    There needs to be a line item on the credit card receipt what the credit card processing fees are with the grand total that they were charges.

    Because processing fees for TURNKEY merchant providers are collected by a third-party and not stored within the UMS database, there is no way for these fees to be included on a receipt generated within UMS.  A customer paying online, however, can print the receipt directly from the website which will include the processing fees.


    We are looking at changing this for our new web-based UB4 solution.

  9. differentiate between shut off and shut off for non payment

    CSR should be able to look in customer history and immediately see if a customer's service was shut off due to non payment of account, or just a scheduled move out.

    This request has been declined due to lack of votes.  If configured correctly, UMS will create a line item in the history for reference when a shut off is ran and posted.  It will also put the account into a 'ShutOff' status.  A customer who has been final billed because of a shutoff will have a recent 'Shutoff' and a 'Final' bill displayed in history.

  10. Notes for Mobile Service Orders, not printed

    It would be nice if the Note section in the Manage Installations would be visible on the Mobile Service Orders. This would help with specific meter locations for new field service employees and also if they need to be advised of animals.

    After more careful consideration, it was determined that the checks necessary to accomplish this are not really feasible during the Move In Wizard.  The software already checks for a duplicate SSN or driver's license number during the move in process.  We recommend that the utility use the search feature manually to confirm that a customer doesn't already exist in the system.

  12. Consolidate area code and phone number fields

    It would be much easier to enter a phone number if the area code and phone number were entered in the same field.

  13. Roll back single batch

    Background: We were processing a specialized utility billing process in applying grant revenues that inadvertently included posting a regular unposted billing cycle batch that was not ready for posting. This was done as a date range was selected for posting batches accidently versus a single batch (with TransmasterID). The result created some 600 + payment discount related transactions that CUSI was unable to reverse from our system en-mass.

    CUSI explained this is due to the payment discount generating a PayMaster file that the Transaction Reversal Tool in UMS was not designed to remove.

    CUSI gave us several options to overcome…

  14. Services Orders - Automatically Post Service Order Fees Upon Completion

    When created shutoff / reconnection service orders, related fees associated are added. Upon completion, please set the fees to automatically post.

  15. Total Consumption on Bill Exception Report

    We use the Bill Exceptions Report during billing to verify that our tiered customers are being billed correctly, as we cannot use the Usage Grouping Report until charges are posted. The Bill Exceptions Report only gives the total number of exceptions. It would be extremely helpful for this report to give the total consumption in addition to that, as we currently have to add up all the consumption manually and deduct the tier floor x # of exceptions.

  16. Variance reporting for water use only

    For the Variance Report, It would be nice to be able to run a variance report solely based on water use. Because we currently use water use to create an average billing for sewer, we cannot utilize the variance reports to show water use variance - it always includes the average usage calculated for sewer use.

  18. Disallowed Payment Method Security - ADD

    Place security settings on Disallowed Payment Methods, and whether or not we will accept payments from a customer. This is a back office decision and not a CSR decision. We have had a couple CSR's check the "Do Not Accept Any Payment" boxes on accident not knowing how it would effect that customer. Thank you.

  20. Credit card processing fees

    There needs to be a way to show credit card processing fees on customer receipts, broken out by payment for multiples. For example, a customer pays 2 accounts, $10 and $20. If the fee is 2%, show 20 cents processing fee with the $10 payment and 40 cents with the $20 payment.
