    Bill Register – To generate the account and utility status on the bill register. As mentioned, being able to identify the account and utility status is key when scrutinizing accounts for billing.

  2. Calculate Bills

    Calculate – Bill Process – Allow for a drop-down option or field where we can calculate multiple accounts at a time. Currently for loose bills we can only calculate one account at a time; so being able to have the option to enter multiple accounts, would make the calculation process for loss bills much easier and less time consuming. As seen in the example below, we can manually enter the accounts we want to bill or calculate.

  3. Autopay - Declined Credit Card

    When processing autopay, the declined credit card report is only available during the process. It would be helpful if we can the option in reports to pull it again if needed.

    This request has been declined because we do not store sensitive data and we use tokenization to process recurring credit cards.  We encourage users to save a copy of the report when it is initially created.

  4. Changes to Note Type

    • Currently when you open the note type it auto-populates to “general”.

    Can you make the sort order customizable and hide types that are no longer being used?

  5. Consumption Charges Based on Meter Usage, Not Total Account Usage

    Consumption allowances need to be associated with the meters and not the total usage on the account. If an account has a consumption allowance of 3,000 g, but has 2 meters, it should not now have an overall allowance of 6,000 g. Consumption charges should apply to any usage at each meter that exceeds 3,000 g.

  6. Landlords

    When on customer screen and going to landlord tab that needs to be blocked out to where it cant be changed.....etc like address phone number its so easy to change that information when we think we are on customers information.

  7. Customer address changes

    When A customer changes their mailing address, it should effect all future billings only. Currently it compromised the integrity of our historical data and we don't want that to happen. Please make this change.

    This work item was declined due to the existing workaround ability of viewing the audit tab for any address changes and obtaining address information as to where a statement was sent. This feature would be a major overhaul to UMS as to how bills and forms are processed within UMS. CUSI also recommends saving a PDF copy of your statements at the time of creation so this historical information would be accessible at any time.

  8. create delinquency - export button next to process button

    The "Create Delinquency" window doesn't have an explicit 'Export' button, The only option is to first preview/process the report, then export from there, but that creates an odd "crystal reports" csv file rather than a standard csv file.

    it would be really helpful to be able to export directly to a standard csv file.

  9. Posting Field

    Posting Field – Option to manually select/tick the specific accounts that we would like to post transactions for. Occasionally we might not want to post all the billing transaction entered by a specific individual, so being able to select the specific transaction we want to post will make the posting process much easier. As seen in the image below we have the option to post all the transaction or select the specific ones we want to post. To insert a column that will allow the selecting of the specific accounts for posting.

  11. Payment Wizard - Manual Entry

    When using Manual Entry to enter the large amount of checks we receive (anywhere from 50- 150 some days), it would save time if the program would automatically load the endorsements to the printer when you click "process" rather than having to go back and individually click "endorse check" next to each entry.

  13. 2023 User Summit-Refund with no credit balance

    This is what she wants: “I wanted to be able to cut a check to them if they did not have a credit balance and did not mean to pay. “ According to Matt, just doing a transaction reversal won’t allow you to do that. There are a number of transactions that have to happen, which is ludicrous, to be able to cut a check back to a customer. If you could AT LEAST get that process for me from them, they can use that in the interim until they find a better way to do that.

  14. 2023 User Summit-Performance Issues With Move Outs On Large Accounts

    We are trying to use a feature in UMS for a customer having multiple Locations. In this case, it is a home builder. Normally this feature works fine but with this home builder account it currently has 437 locations attached to 1 customer account. When moving out a location from the home builder account it takes minutes for the process to complete. And because of how large the builder is its never just 1 move out. It’s a list that gets given to us every month so possibly scoping a move out wizard that can move out multiple locations tied…

  17. add note with attachment to all accounts in a misc. fee batch

    When processing shut offs under the Utility Services Tenants Rights Act it is necessary to keep good records. The inability to save a PDF of a complete report attached to the account notes in mass is debilitating.

    Example: the certified letters are not recorded as such because they don't run out of UMS as certified letters. We have to sticker and scan those.

    I would like to be able to attach that PDF record of scanned letters and envelopes (confirmation of delivery by court standards) to the accounts. Right now that has to be one 1 location at a time.

    Review Calculations – To add the feature to change the Read End Date and Transaction Date from the review calculations tab. Currently the Calculation Action must be selected first to update the Review Calculations with the Read End and Transaction Date.

  19. Payment Station - Batch Total

    To remove the total cash on hand from the payment station for the cashiers. Currently if the feature is removed the cashiers won’t have rights to create their batch. The cashiers should not have access to their batch total due to the risk of fraud.

  20. Exception Reports

    Inclusion for the account and utility status in all billing exception reports. Including the account and utility status in the exception reports will assist in the scrutinizing process to easily identify disconnected and waiting accounts. As seen in the image below, the account status is included in the exception report.
