  1. Add a balance column to the customer or contact name search

    I was curious to see if another column could be added when you go to do a customer or contact name search. It currently has customer name, customer number, location number, service address and utility status and I would love to see balance. We have a few customers that have multiple (10 or more) accounts and when they send in an ACH payment through our bank we have to go in to each account separately to see which account the payment was for. If the balance was listed in the customer or contact name filter it would let us see…

  2. See due date on home/landing page in MSO

    We have been without a water clerk for a while now so I have been doing double duty. The advanced filters are very helpful to me in closing orders at the office but I would still like to see one more improvement on the filters that would be extremely helpful to our field crew.   3. Legacy reporting for all payment arrangements made in UMS.

    There is no reporting for payment arrangements. Since payment arrangements have an arrangement number there should be a legacy report that list the arrangement number and location it was set up on.

  4. When a customer decides not to move in, we should not have to final the current customer to fix the issue.

    If the customer decides not to move in or has given us the wrong address, we should not have to move out the current customer so we can move in the incorrect customer and then move the current customer back in. This creates a history record on the current customer and can cause issues with their billing, when they did not cause any issues.

  5. FINALS- auto pay customers.

    As soon as I enter auto pay customers into a final bill. The program automatically kicks them off of auto pay. It would be nice if that function stayed on until the balance is $0 and we are not chasing them to pay their last bill.

  7. View History from the Enter Reading Screen

    Put the ability to view customer's account history while in the "Enter Readings" screen rather than having to have another "Control Panel" window and bounce back and forth.

  8. Plaid integration tweak (UI)

    Some of our users prefer to use the micro-deposit method of verifying the account when setting up an ACH.

    When they get to the dialog that has you select a bank, the option to 'Link With account numbers' is at the bottom of the screen. It requires the user to scroll down the screen to look for that option. Of course, at this point, they don't even know what they are looking for.

    If this was at the top of the dialog it would be easier to find and less frustrating for the user.

  9. Automatically create service order to disconnect if payment arrangement broken

    Utility wants to immediately disconnect if payment arrangement is broken, rather than wait till next time disconnects are routinely processed. Suggest creating configuration option to automatically generate disconnect service order once criteria met to break the arrangement.

  10. Need Usage Grouping Report to Give Count For Each Usage Tier or Need Addtl Tiers Added to Operations Summary Report

    The current Usage Grouping Report provides a cumulative total for number of bills for each usage tier. We are required to prepare annual reports that must include the number billed monthly for each usage tier individually. Could the report add this feature? The cumulative totals are not helpful and require calculation to determine how many bills were generated at each tier. The Operations Summary report provides the information needed, but doesn't match the usage group tiers as it groups everything together over 9,000 gallons. Adding additional tiers to this report would also provide the needed information.

  11. Global Rate Change Assistant

    Currently, in UMS you have to go into each rate individually to use the Rate Change Assistant. It would be nice to have a global Rate Change Assistant that would increase all consumption rates at the same time vs. having to go one by one. Submitted on behalf of Bristol.

  13. Tiered delinquency

    A company wants to calculate late fees based on aging. $5 if the customer is late 30 days, $10 if they are late 60 days and $15 if they are greater than 90 days past due.

    Currently, I have a Penalty setup for a flat $5 and an additional delinquency of $10 to get the first two, but am having to use the "unused" interest code to accommodate the $15 at 90 days.   16. Split Routes Feature

    There is a Combine Route feature in UMS, however there is not a Split Route feature. There are many routes that I would love to split off into their own sections, especially when we have a thousand meters on a single route. Right now I have to manually change each account and then resequence them if I want to create new routes - this takes hours. Please add the Split Route feature so that we can easily create new routes. Thank you!

  17. Variable Deferred Charge

    We collect money for our volunteer fire department. Most people pay $1, so we have a deferred charge for that set up. However, we occasionally have someone who will pay more than the $1 to go to the VFD. Also, there are times when a customer is past due and wants to pay toward the VFD.

    We would like 1) a way to modify the amount paid at the time of payment and 2) allow a past due customer to pay toward the deferred charge instead of it applying only to their past due balance.

  18. Entering Dates

    In our old program when you entered a date the cursor would move to the next entry.

    Meaning when you entered the Month the cursor would automatically move to the date and then once you entered the day the cursor would automatically move to the year.

    It would be nice if this options was available in the UMS program. Making it much quicker and nicer to enter the dates.

  19. Delinquency notice

    When I need to reprint a delinquency notice, for the state department or Public Service Commission, the termination date is NOT the date that is on the original, causing problems. Yes, there is a way I can change the date, but if my copy and the customers copy is different, I no longer can terminate a customer.
