When searching for a customer it would be beneficial to see customer's account balance instead of having to get into customer's account

Search screen additions
Would be very user friendly to see.....
- A Balance column added
- Allow the Utility Status column to follow the account progression (such as Current-Past Due etc)
What great quick glance information. Thank you
1 voteWe have researched the possibility of adding a balance column in the past and because of crippling performance when searching, we are unable to add a this to the search results. We will, however, consider adding the utility status in the results on a future update.

Autopay - Declined Credit Card
When processing autopay, the declined credit card report is only available during the process. It would be helpful if we can the option in reports to pull it again if needed.
1 voteThis request has been declined because we do not store sensitive data and we use tokenization to process recurring credit cards. We encourage users to save a copy of the report when it is initially created.

Tax Exempt Certificate Management
A business customer has a meter with usage and should not be incurring sales tax because they have a tax exemption certificate. These tax exemption certificates have an expiration date. Please add the ability for a customer account to have information regarding tax exemption: active or inactive and the expiration date. We need to send out reminders to those customers when their tax exemption is expiring so we can get their updated certificate. It is also an onboarding step for new business customers to ask for their certificate if they have one.

Service Order assignment
Need ability to enter field worker name in the "assigned to" field. The office workers do not do the work and they are all that are able to be filled in that field.
1 voteService Orders can already be assigned to any account deemed a 'Field Service Worker' or another UMS user with adequate permissions. Please contact your Account Manager for Field Service Tech users, which are designed for this very reason and can even access the web based Mobile Service Order (MSO) platform from the field.

Service order
SERVICE ORDER - Previous (FINAL) customers name prints on service order. Needs to be blank in the name field unless a new customer has already been moved in before the service order is entered. We have instances where the service (water) is turned on for cleanup and then back off and no customer needs to be listed. We do not put landlords in each time someone moves out.
1 voteCame up with a workaround to create a service order with customer information blanked out for their use in this instance.

Credit Card Processing Fees
There needs to be a line item on the credit card receipt what the credit card processing fees are with the grand total that they were charges.
1 voteBecause processing fees for TURNKEY merchant providers are collected by a third-party and not stored within the UMS database, there is no way for these fees to be included on a receipt generated within UMS. A customer paying online, however, can print the receipt directly from the website which will include the processing fees.
We are looking at changing this for our new web-based UB4 solution.

differentiate between shut off and shut off for non payment
CSR should be able to look in customer history and immediately see if a customer's service was shut off due to non payment of account, or just a scheduled move out.
1 voteThis request has been declined due to lack of votes. If configured correctly, UMS will create a line item in the history for reference when a shut off is ran and posted. It will also put the account into a 'ShutOff' status. A customer who has been final billed because of a shutoff will have a recent 'Shutoff' and a 'Final' bill displayed in history.

Notes for Mobile Service Orders, not printed
It would be nice if the Note section in the Manage Installations would be visible on the Mobile Service Orders. This would help with specific meter locations for new field service employees and also if they need to be advised of animals.

Variance reporting for water use only
For the Variance Report, It would be nice to be able to run a variance report solely based on water use. Because we currently use water use to create an average billing for sewer, we cannot utilize the variance reports to show water use variance - it always includes the average usage calculated for sewer use.
1 voteAfter researching with the customer, this item is working as expected and therefore being declined.

Disallowed Payment Method Security - ADD
Place security settings on Disallowed Payment Methods, and whether or not we will accept payments from a customer. This is a back office decision and not a CSR decision. We have had a couple CSR's check the "Do Not Accept Any Payment" boxes on accident not knowing how it would effect that customer. Thank you.

Address Numbers Added to Emergency Contact List
Emergency contact list needs an updated feature... to have the option available to narrow the search criteria to call out customers in an isolated area vs just calling those on a street name or subdivision.

Budget Balance
There needs to be a way to record the Budget Balance on payment plan customers in an Unearned Revenue GL account & have the Reconciliation go against that. It is making it extremely hard to report on actual sales when UMS reports billed sales, which is the levelized amount. Our sales are overstated in the $300k range this year from what we can tell. There seems to be no good way to determine what actual sales should be short of an Excel spreadsheet.

Actual vs Levelized
I need a report that shows actual dollars (what would have been billed) vs levelized dollars (what was billed) for a date range. I can't find a way to determine this to report sales based on actual & the auditors would like to see it.

Batch on Auto Pay Wizard: Recurring Credit Cards
When using AutoPay Wizard, I was using the date of the 25th and today is the 23rd. I just wanted to see what the total would be on the credit card run. Instead of the Batch disappearing from the wizard when you choose debit/credit card it would be better to have an error message displayed that the batch date must be for the current date.
1 voteThis item was declined due to lack of votes. The batch is still created, however, users are unable to see it because CUSI prevents (on purpose) any electronic payments to be dated on a day other than when the process is ran.
