usage variance
Be able to set usage variance by percent from last year AND over # of specified gallons.
EX: Customer A used 4K in March 2023.
We are now billing March 2024 and would want to flag if the use is 75% more than March 2023, but only if it is over 1,000 gallons total.
This way if it is a small user exceeding 75% of last year's month at the same time of year we don't land them on the high use list because their total gallons used that month is less than 1,000 gallons; whereas above, the user would land on the high use list if they exceeded 75% over 4K in March 2024.
Essentially, more variables we can control to either push more, or lessen, the number of locations/accounts appearing on the high use list.
ALSO we should have the option to turn on or off a meter situation code in our settings where the situation code would trigger if the account qualified for a high use.
Example: Customer B shows up on the high use exceptions in the prepare meter readings. The situation code for high use should automatically come on so that a message triggers on the customer's bill.
Right now I have to manually turn on about 100 locations high use messages every single month but I have a phone in my pocket with a more powerful processor than the computer that helped with the first moon landing LOL.
It would be nice to have an exclude feature for the high use as well. For example, if Customer M (you thought I was going to pick C haha) ...Customer M has a meter replaced and the new meter is more accurate so they land on the high use list for the first bill after the meter install. I would not want to send them a high use message on their bill lest they blame the meter for being inaccurate rather than assuming it's more accurate and they've been getting a great deal.
An additional helpful tool would be to list the variance gallons in a column next to the actual gallons on the high use review page so we can see what UMS is comparing the new gallons to.
