  1. the WEB USER tab on the customer screen should change to a different color if the customer signed up for a web portal account.

    by having it change color when someone signs up as a WEB USER this will make it jump out at you. It already changes color from black to green if someone signed up for autopay and it changes color for documents if a document was scanned in.

    We need more votes on this request. This was discussed in our quarterly meeting and in case you didn't know, there is a 'globe' at the top of the ACP that is displayed when users are signed up for the portal. Our plan is to deny this request because of the quick glance icons but we are leaving it out there to see if it gets some traction.

  3. cash tendered

    When going to post your deposit for the day and you look at batch management it says cash tendered not cash accepted. I don't care how much cash was tendered I care what should be in my money draw.

  4. PRINT UPDATED BILL

    there needs to be away to print updated bills. If a customer has made a payment on a bill that has a remaining balance there should be away to print an updated bill showing the payment and new balance. Also, if we have to make an adjustment on an account there should be away to print an updated bill after an adjustment has been made. We could print updated bill in CBSW after payments or adjustments have been made. Would really love for this to be added to UB4.

  5. Automatic email generated to customer if change made on their account

    When a change, like an address change, is made on an account where that customer is signed up for the web portal, an email is automictically generated to them. in the body of the email that is sent to the customer there is a box in the upper left hand corner that has nothing in it. It says click on the "x" to see image. It would be nice if the box could be removed all together or if maybe our company logo can go in it.

  6. billing exception edit list - color code when account is reviewed

    When going through the billing exception edit list by manual review. It would be nice if the account changed color after it was reviewed then you will know where to pick up if you got side tracked or had to leave that screen and come back.

  7. Meter status On or Off on main customer screen in bold

    It would be really nice if the status of the meter either ON or OFF would show up bold or RED so it jumps out at you.
    I have a couple of accts that the water mtr is shut off for various reasons but there is no where on the screen that it jumps out at you with out searching for the fine print towards the bottom. In CBSW it was in RED that the meter was shut off. This would make things a lot easier

    Right now they seem to be in a random order, or listed oldest first. The most recent Note or Message should be at the top of the list.

  9. Have the Capability of Editing the Read Type on the Customer Control Panel Level

    In UMS you're able to edit the Read type by going to Location > Manage Installations > On the meter click 'Edit Item' > Meter > Select your Register > Change Read Type there

    In UB4 Go to Devices > Search for Meter > click on Meter > Make the Changes there

    That process is fine, however we would like to be able to change the Read Type in the Control Panel based level also.

  10. Automations

    CS Week 2024: Larger utilities will require more automations in general, however the most common request here was involving the delinquency/shutoff process. A common call out was creating a workflow that would automatically notify customers x days in advance of receiving a penalty or shutoff without the utility manually generating these notices. I understand that any automation surrounding shutoffs could a bit scary. Perhaps this is an area where a focus group with some larger customers or consultants could help inform this process.

    CS Week 2024: - Several of the largest utilities we spoke with suggested that the control panel itself be configurable based on user role. This includes the ability to hide any tab along with customizable widgets along the top of the screen where the customer and location cards are located.

  13. Configurable Dashboard

    CS Week 2024. A consistent theme for almost every demo was the ability to configure the primary UB4 dashboard that is displayed upon initial login to UB4. These dashboards would be configured based upon user role. There should be several canned widgets that users can select from like the admin/customer dashboards in CWP. Ideally users could create custom widgets

  14. Automatic Notes on Account

    Account notes are automatically generated any time a modification is made to the account: phone number change, last name change, billing address change. It would also be beneficial to have an automatic note if a notification has been given, such as any IVR/text notifications for delinquencies and shut offs.

  15. adding services in the location tab

    When adding services in the location tab it takes a really long time. In CBSW you could add everything very quickly. In UB4 you have to wait 10 seconds for things to load and then wait for them to add, get back to the location screen and add another service and then wait again and continue this over and over until all the services have been added. When setting up new locations this is very time consuming compared to the amount of time it took in CBSW.

  16. Adjustment wizard enhancement

    We would like the ability to make adjustments to multiple rates within one adjustment transaction. I may make an adjustment but adjust water, sewer, & tax all in one adjustment. Using the wizard would put those into 3 different transactions when it really could be solved in one transaction.

  17. Emergency Contact List - Limit search

    Currently the emergency contact list only allows you to search by street. Having the ability to narrow that search down to a certain range of house numbers (ex: 2010 - 2026) would be helpful because the notification would only be sent to the affected customers instead of the entire street.

  18. Expiration Date Disallow Payment Methods

    An expiration date is needed to disallow payment methods. There is no mass way to reset or mass clear disallowed payment methods. Many utilities want these to expire after 12 months.

  20. Transfers

    When completing a property transfer with an account that has a prior balance, there should be an option to put the due date of the charges like in CBSW. This is causing our penalties to be out of balance and we are having to make adjustments to the accounts.
