  1. Automatic email generated to customer if change made on their account

    When a change, like an address change, is made on an account where that customer is signed up for the web portal, an email is automictically generated to them. in the body of the email that is sent to the customer there is a box in the upper left hand corner that has nothing in it. It says click on the "x" to see image. It would be nice if the box could be removed all together or if maybe our company logo can go in it.

  2. billing exception edit list - color code when account is reviewed

    When going through the billing exception edit list by manual review. It would be nice if the account changed color after it was reviewed then you will know where to pick up if you got side tracked or had to leave that screen and come back.

  3. Meter status On or Off on main customer screen in bold

    It would be really nice if the status of the meter either ON or OFF would show up bold or RED so it jumps out at you.
    I have a couple of accts that the water mtr is shut off for various reasons but there is no where on the screen that it jumps out at you with out searching for the fine print towards the bottom. In CBSW it was in RED that the meter was shut off. This would make things a lot easier

  4. Notes checked off to show up in message center under location or account tab. The NEWEST note needs to be at the top, not the oldest. der

    When on the note tab and you check the box off for the note to also show up in message center under the location or account tab. The NEWEST note needs to be at the top, not the oldest. IF it doesn't do that then after a few years you will have a lot of scrolling to due to fine the newest note and you may miss something very important.

  5. the WEB USER tab on the customer screen should change to a different color if the customer signed up for a web portal account.

    by having it change color when someone signs up as a WEB USER this will make it jump out at you. It already changes color from black to green if someone signed up for autopay and it changes color for documents if a document was scanned in.

  9. On account screen, customer tab should open up first not history

    When opening an account, have the customer tab in the 1st position to open up right away or just change it that the customer tab opens up right away instead of history tab. I'm always having to go and click on customer tab and with the slight delay it can waste time.

  10. List notes & Message Board by date order, newest first

    Right now they seem to be in a random order, or listed oldest first. The most recent Note or Message should be at the top of the list.

  11. Have the Capability of Editing the Read Type on the Customer Control Panel Level

    In UMS you're able to edit the Read type by going to Location > Manage Installations > On the meter click 'Edit Item' > Meter > Select your Register > Change Read Type there

    In UB4 Go to Devices > Search for Meter > click on Meter > Make the Changes there

    That process is fine, however we would like to be able to change the Read Type in the Control Panel based level also.

  12. Automations

    CS Week 2024: Larger utilities will require more automations in general, however the most common request here was involving the delinquency/shutoff process. A common call out was creating a workflow that would automatically notify customers x days in advance of receiving a penalty or shutoff without the utility manually generating these notices. I understand that any automation surrounding shutoffs could a bit scary. Perhaps this is an area where a focus group with some larger customers or consultants could help inform this process.

  13. Notes should sort by date not note level.

    On the NOTES tab. Notes should be in date order with the newest note at the top. It shouldn't be by Note Level order. With the current set up, after a while when there are a lot of notes entered in, you are going to have to take extra time to go through the pages to find the newest note in a certain note level.

  14. The description field for a customers phone number should show up at the top of the customer tab

    The description field for a customers phone number should also show up at the top of the customer tab. I use this field to put the name of the person who the phone number belongs to, especially if it is a joint account. That way I know whose phone number belongs to who without having to hit the edit button to see that information.

  15. Search by Billing Address in UB4

    When searching for a customer, the ability to search by the billing address is extremely helpful. We receive a lot of checks in the mail that do not have account information on them and we use the search field by billing address quite often in CBSW. With these types of situations, searching by the billing address becomes the only way we can easily identify which account to post the payment to correctly.

  17. Create Re-read service order

    CS Week 2024: When demoing the usage exception reporting in UB4 most utilities asked if they could generate re-read service orders from this report. Ideally users would be able to use the exception type limit options to generate these service orders in MSO or a third-party asset management application in mass. They could also create an individual re-read service order from the “enter reads” screen itself. Closing that service order should update the read in UB4.
